2021 Vacation Bible School Will Be Held July 6 - 9! It is a free event!


Glenda and Mike Mann will be here to lead our Vacation Bible School July 6-9, 2021, Tuesday through  Thursday 6-8 pm, Friday closing at 7 pm. Spread the word! It will be great to have VBS this year after having to cancel it last year!

Glenda and Mike present the Gospel in a fun and exciting way with puppets (Mike is a ventriloquist), illusion (Glenda is a Christian magician), balloons, Bible lessons, original songs, etc. A light meal will be served each of the first three nights, and there will be a simple craft to do each of those nights. On closing night, the kids will perform songs they have learned and Glenda and Mike will present a special show.

We need volunteers (adult and teens).  Invite/bring kids!

Theme Text: Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit”.

1. Noah: God Made A Rainbow. - Story: Genesis Chapters 6 - 8
Memory Verse: Romans 8:28  “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Shortened: All things work out if you love Jesus and work for Him. 

2. House on the Rock: Story: Matthew 7: 24 - 27
Memory Verse: Matthew 7:24  “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Shortened: Be wise, hear Jesus, and build your house on the rock.

3. Zacchaeus: Looking For Jesus - Luke 19: 1 - 10
Memory Verse: Luke 19:10  “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

2019 Vacation Bible School, June 25-28

Our 2019 Vacation Bible School was held June 25, 26 and 27 (Tues, Wed and Thurs) 6-8 p.m., with a Friday closing program June 28 7-8 pm. A great time was had by all!

The Gospel was presented using puppets, stories, skits, "gospel magic", songs, games, and lots of balloons! Each day the children will receive a light meal and there will be a simple craft. On closing night each child received a gift bag.
THEME: Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
LESSONS:
Jonah Story (Book of Jonah): Psalm 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,  and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
Naaman Story (2 Kings 5: 1-19): 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Armor of God Lesson (Ephesians 6: 10 -20): Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

VBS June 27, 28, 29, 2018 - 6 - 8 p.m.

VBS will be June 27, 28 and 29 (Wed, Thurs and Friday), 6-8 pm


All ages will enjoy this VBS, presented by Glenda and Mike Mann! The program is designed for ages K - 6th grade, but all ages (including adults) enjoy it. Children younger than 5 should be accompanied by an adult.  The Gospel will be presented using puppets, stories, skits, "gospel magic", songs, games, and lots of balloons! Each day the children will receive a light meal. The last night each child will receive a gift bag.
 
 You may register your child early (call Mrs. Elliott at 913-636-4100 for forms) or come 15 minutes early to VBS and register then. VBS is free to all.  After the closing program we will take a voluntary love offering for Glenda and Mike.








2018 VBS Theme and Lessons: Rock Solid

Theme: Being a Rock Solid Christian

  1. The Fiery Furnace: Daniel Chapter 3 This will be acted out using props.
  1. Daniel and the Lion’s Den: (Daniel Chapter 6) This will be acted out using props.
  1. The Talking Donkey: Numbers 22:2-25:18, Numbers 31:1-9  We will act this out with children using animal twist balloon props.
  1. Whosoever's House: Drama based on accepting Christ as the only source for a clean heart. Based on John 3:16  We will act this out with the help of the children as a live drama.
